  • Jaime Quizhpi graduated in 2019 from Queens College and obtained his degree in Mental Health counseling. He has worked with a diverse population in different areas when it comes to social services. Jaime has worked as a teacher, after-school counselor, and case manager, where he worked with children and families. Jaime continues to build his career in a not-for-profit agency where he assists adults with severe mental illness in obtaining resources and building their independency through evidence-based practices. His frame of work consists of empowering clients as individuals and assisting them to get where they want to be in life by utilizing cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), psychoanalytic therapy, and client center approaches. Jaime has worked with many adults and adolescents to manage trauma, stress, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, and panic.

Mira Vasjari

LMHC, Clinical Supervisor

  • Mira Vasjari (she/her) earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stevenson University in MD and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness from New York University. She is a licensed mental health counselor and supervisor at Awaken Wellness. Mira works with individuals, couples, and families in an open-minded and empathetic safe space. She is bilingual in English and Albanian. Mira works with a diverse clientele who struggle with anxiety, depression, life stressors, mood and personality disorders, anger, grief and bereavement, relationship issues, and work and career issues, including stress and burnout. She has experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and immigration/first-generation. Mira has an integrative approach to therapy where she identifies and supports the needs of her clients. Her approach includes helping clients improve the relationship they have with themselves and others so that they can live an authentic life. She works collaboratively with the client to help them find peace, clarity, and balance while exploring strengths. Mira helps clients challenge their negative thoughts and behaviors while making space for a balanced life. She is passionate about supporting people in their journeys and very aware of the importance of culture/spirituality in being a big part of people’s identities. Mira wants her clients to leave the therapeutic space feeling empowered as they gain confidence and skills to live life to the fullest. She is affirmative of all genders, sexualities, and relationship structures. She also believes in continuous growth and plans to participate in seminars on multiculturalism, sexuality, and social justice issues for her personal/professional growth.


Fatima Cabrera

  • Fatima Cabrera (She/Her/Ella) completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from York College/ CUNY. She recently earned her Master's Degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. During Fatima's professional career, she has worked at different nonprofit organizations, unfolding different roles as; Health Coach, HIV prevention services, and Counselor working with domestic violence survivors. Fatima is currently working with individuals from multicultural backgrounds monolingual Spanish speakers, helping to resolve common areas of psychological/emotional instability and concerns such as; anxiety, depression, phobias, relationships, excessive anger, and trauma. Fatima provides a supportive and safe space for clients to guide individuals to a brighter, healthier, and more meaningful future.

Lisa Lozano Czulinski

  • Lisa Lozano Czulinski (She/Her) believes each individual has what it takes to overcome obstacles by accessing their inner wisdom and unique strengths. Her approach to counseling is integrative, meaning she draws from several different types of therapy to fit what is best for the client’s needs. Lisa holds sessions from a non-hierarchical and non-judgmental position while acknowledging the differences and limitations required in working with diverse populations.

    Lisa’s sessions provide a nurturing and creative environment to identify and explore issues holistically and collaboratively. Her interventions operate from a person-centered, multicultural, trauma-informed, and gender-fair framework and utilize CBT, DBT, EFT, E-I, NT, IPSRT, MBCT, NT, SBT, and other Psychodynamic methods. Her specialties focus on concerns with Addiction, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Identity, OCD, Phobias, Relationships, Life Transitions & Grief, Mood Disorders, and Trauma. She currently offers Tele-therapy and seasonal Walk & Talk sessions and hopes to return to in-person soon.

Rashidah Daniels

  • Rashidah Daniels is a pre-licensed mental health counselor New York University graduate in 2022. She obtained her Master’s in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling.

    Rashidah works with couples wanting to heal from infidelity, develop effective communication, learn how to fight fairly, and build a more genuine connection. She is passionate about being a listener, compassionate, and considering multi-cultural differences and how this informs us as individuals. When clients are ready, she likes to challenge them to become autonomous and empower them to continue their journey of discovering themselves.

    Rashidah has years of experience working closely with caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia and providing programming for individuals diagnosed with a neurodivergent diagnosis. Rashidah uses an eclectic therapeutic approach, including Person-Centered therapy, Multicultural Counseling, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, depending on the client’s needs. As a woman of color, she understands how important it is for individuals to have a safe space to express themselves. Rashidah is currently available for telehealth sessions.

Unique Grier

  • I have experience working with individuals from multicultural backgrounds. In addition, I have worked with individuals who have newly arrived from the Caribbean in the U.S. who are trying to assimilate to Westernized culture. Furthermore, I have worked with individuals who have experienced Domestic Violence and their families.

    Unique received her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, and substance abuse. I use a Person-Center approach along with CBT to help clients improve their lives as a whole.

    I am a Black woman who understands the experience of a person of color, a woman, a mother, and a partner so that I can bring my experience into the therapeutic process.

Julie Hackett

  • As a trauma-informed, queer, wellness practitioner and therapist, my primary goal is to create a space in which we can work together to identify any areas of your life that you would like to change and create a plan to work towards those changes being realized and sustained. Through therapeutic modalities such as Reality Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) among others, we will work together to manifest the positive changes you want for your life. I work through an eclectic lens that incorporates trauma-informed care, existentialism, cognitive theory, queer theory, choice theory, meaning-making, and alternative holistic wellness practices and somatic healing, with a focus on unpacking the relationship one has with the self as well as strengthening interpersonal skills.

    I pride myself on taking a sensitive, thoughtful, and passionate approach with every case I work with. I am excited to work with children, individuals, families, groups, couples, and non-traditional intimate and domestic partnerships or collections of all identities and backgrounds. I am comfortable working with a myriad of presenting concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADD/ADHD, disordered eating and dysmorphia, gender identity and dysphoria, sexual concerns, intimacy concerns, psychedelic integration, etc. As a non-binary, queer therapist, I am an ally to any and all identities and professions including members of the LGBTQIA+ communities, sex workers, BIPOC clients, and marginalized and underserved populations. If desired by the client, I can also incorporate my work as a Yoga Teacher with specializations in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Meridian Yoga Therapy, and mindfulness. I am currently offering virtual therapy through Zoom or phone sessions.

Javier G. Martinez

  • Javier Gomez Martinez is currently in his third year at Queens College and working towards earning a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2017 from The City College of New York. He is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor and integrates breathing techniques, mindfulness, and contemplative practices into his work. He has extensive experience in the complicated landscape that is health insurance and has helped many New Yorkers by linking them to a diverse base of resources available in NYC. As a member of the LGBT+ community, Javier’s passion is in helping disadvantaged individuals and other minorities seek and achieve their recovery goals through an integrative approach. He makes use of concepts and tools found in Person-Centered, CBT, Contemplative, and Existential therapies with an emphasis on using Stoic teachings for the attainment of a positive mental and emotional state. He sees the therapeutic relationship as a true partnership where the client and therapist can collaborate to formulate goals, identify skills, take action, and track progress. Javier is fluent in English and Spanish and can communicate with his clients in both languages.

Ashley Sauers

  • Ashley Sauers graduated from New York University in 2021 and obtained her Master’s in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling. She has her Limited Permit in Mental Health and Wellness counseling and is working towards full licensure. She graduated from SUNY Old Westbury with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2017. Ashley has worked with a diverse group of individuals such as children in the foster care system, adolescents struggling with behavioral issues, people of color, families, and individuals who struggle with anxiety.

    Ashley believes every individual brings their own unique story and skills to therapy. She uses an integrative and collaborative approach based on CBT, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness to holistically help clients overcome their struggles. Ashley’s experience as a teacher has led her to understand there are many different obstacles that children face each day, and it is important for them to be provided with a safe space to express themselves and cope with their traumas. Her current caseload consists of children and adolescents but she is open to working with more adult clients.

Grace Lim

  • Grace Lim is currently a pre-licensed mental health counselor, graduated from New York University’s Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness program. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults battling anxiety, depression, life transitions, and intergenerational trauma, among other life stressors. Grace uses an integrative approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness to help clients experience deep self-understanding, gain valuable insight of themselves, and learn skills to support themselves in times of difficulty. Using an integrative approach, Grace aims to help clients explore all aspects of their life, to help gain valuable insight to overcome obstacles and meet clients where they are in their struggles.

Violeta Bangiyev

  • Violeta Bangiyev is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at LIU-Brooklyn with a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness from NYU. Violeta specializes in working with underserved communities, intergenerational and/or childhood trauma, dissociative disorders including DID and OSDD, and other trauma-related conditions.

    Violeta uses an integrative approach that utilizes methods such as Person-Centered Therapy, Multicultural Therapy, TF-CBT, CBT, IFS, and DBT in order to personalize therapy sessions for each client based on their individual goals.

    Violeta is LGBTQIA+ affirmative and understands the struggles of fellow children of refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers. She is passionate about working with racial and ethnic minorities, and gender minorities. She has experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, bipolar spectrum disorders, and personality disorders.

    Violeta believes therapy is a judgment-free space where the client and therapist will collaborate to identify concerns, strengthen current skills, learn new skills, and develop goals to ultimately help the client create positive change in their lives.

Tomika King

  • Tomika King is a graduate with a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. She works with individuals, children, couples, and families. Her background in Family Systems Theory enables her to help people connect and consider how multiple factors- including relationships, health, and spirituality-impact one's life. She aims to counsel, coach, and encourage those who may be struggling to achieve in a particular area of life or feel that their growth has been halted. Tomika is confident that she will help clients identify their obstacles and reset their course. She utilizes evidence-based approaches, such as Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, among others, to assist clients. Her goal is to help individuals, couples, and families who may encounter unresolved trauma and need a therapist specializing in those challenges.

Kate Rothschild

  • Kate (she/they) is a psychospiritual therapist with an MA in mental health counseling, certification in applied positive psychology, psychedelic-assisted therapy, substance harm reduction, laughter yoga, master shamanic reiki, and mindfulness meditation. Her diverse background includes educational technology, game development and wellness product management, comedy production, and a BA in International Relations. Kate shares life optimization guidance through workshops, podcasts, and books including the upcoming BS-Free Life: How to Hack Reality and Enjoy Existence. Using an integrative personalized approach, Kate empowers clients to examine their stories, navigate through challenges, recognize patterns, integrate life lessons, explore major questions, eliminate blockers, build resilience, deepen connection, create meaning and well-being. Kate offers brave space as an ally for outsiders, eccentrics, explorers, intellectuals, creatives, LGBTQ+, and anyone else ready to thrive with agency and authenticity. Her areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, trauma, existential distress, grief, life transitions, substance use, relationship problems, work/career stress, psychedelic integration, and spiritual emergence. Kate currently offers telehealth sessions and walk & talk in the park sessions for adults.

Charlotte Mokdessi

I also enjoy working with artists and creatives to help uncover deep-rooted issues that prevent sustained contentment. Each person comes with their own unique history which shapes how they perceive and respond to the world around them. As an eclectic practitioner, I use a psychodynamic, humanistic, and mindfulness-based approach to help you look back in order to move forward. The goal of our work together is for you to find grounding and fulfillment in your life and relationships.

    I am passionate about holding space for people to explore their inner worlds. As an LGBTQ & poly-affirming therapist, I specialize in life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, and trauma. I focus on the mind-body connection, helping you to better understand the complex ways your emotions may be showing up in your body.

    Together, we will work to uncover the pieces and parts of your life that fit and those that don't anymore. Through the safe and trusting environment, we create together, we will help you locate your most authentic self through vulnerable self-reflection and connection. Amanda Reilly

  • Amanda is an integrative psychotherapist, employing elements of CBT and psychospirituality, to help adults transform their relationship with anxiety, release learned fears, and cultivate self-optimization. Her couples’ therapy sessions are rooted in the Emotionally Focused model, based on attachment theory, enabling couples to resolve conflict, hone empathic congruence, and strengthen their bond.

    Earning her master’s in Clinical Mental Health from New York University and a bachelor’s in Holistic Psychology from Lesley University with academic honors, Amanda also has a diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. She began first as a hypnotherapist at Hudson Medical in the West Village, where she customized programs for chronic pain, integration, and clarity, before pursuing her psychotherapy licensure track. This experience informs her attunement to the interplay of one’s subconscious beliefs, creativity, imagination, spirituality, mindfulness, body-mind connection, and grounding practices for improving one’s self-concept.

    Amanda studied Hatha Yoga in the Sacred Valley of Peru, serves as international Art Therapy Ambassador for the anti-trafficking non-profit Beauty for Freedom, facilitates group visualization experiences at Soho House New York, and is certified in handwriting analysis and in motivational coaching. She is a runner, artist, dog-mom, and Vermonter at heart. 

    Amanda works exclusively with adults of all identities via Telehealth.

Amanda Feliciano

  • Amanda Feliciano (she/her) is currently a Masters candidate at New York University’s program in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness. Amanda’s work experiences with multicultural and diverse groups of children/families has inspired her to want to help empower those in marginalized communities.

    Amanda believes therapy is a place to learn about yourself, your relationships, and how to support yourself in difficult times. She uses a holistic person-centered approach to therapy and caters sessions to fit each client. Her goal is to empower clients to be who they are. Amanda specializes in working with BIPOC adolescents and adults, as well as with individuals who identify with the LGBTQIA+ Community. Amanda is also a gay, woman of color, and uses her experiences with these identities to inform her practice.

Sandy Flores

  • Sandy Flores (she/her) is currently a Master’s student at Baruch College in the Mental Health Counseling program. Previously graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a BA in Forensic Psychology. She is passionate about working with adolescents, young adults, and adult clients who are BIPOC individuals along with racial and ethnic minority individuals working through trauma, grief/bereavement, stress, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse—providing cultural competence to genuinely connect with clients working on skills to strengthen their capabilities.

    Sandy uses therapeutic approaches that best fit with the client’s journey in counseling, such as CBT, Person-Centered, and Psychodynamic models. She values clients working at their own pace, building healthy tools to reach their full, well-rounded potential, and empowering each client’s therapeutic journey to grow while advocating a positive outlook within every progress being made. She is devoted to creating an authentic, safe space to work collaboratively as clients strive to reach their personal goals, optimum well-being, and a fulfilling lifestyle.

Joy Persaud

  • Joy (she/her) is currently a Master’s candidate at Queens College in Mental Health Counseling. She graduated from St. John’s University with a BA in Psychology and Government. Joy has experience working with adolescents with autism and has previously worked in Jamaica Hospital’s Psychiatric Inpatient Facilities. Her previous research and work focused on marginalized populations, cultures, and identities. Joy utilizes an integrative approach to therapy, including multiple theories like CBT, Psychodynamic, Client-centered, Positive, and Contemplative. Joy is passionate about working with individuals experiencing Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Schizophrenia, DID, relationship stressors, life transitions, and daily stressors. Joy’s main goal is to provide a safe space for individuals to speak freely and comfortably.

Kristina Bartholomew

  • Kristina is currently a Master’s student at the University of New Haven in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Previously she graduated from Stony Brook University with her Bachelors in Psychology. Kristina has a passion for working with adults. She has worked with individuals who have depression, PTSD, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. She has also worked with individuals who have substance use difficulties, the incarcerated population, elderly, BIPOC, and young adults.

    Kristina believes that therapy is an area where individuals can come to express themselves and be heard from their therapist. It can provide a sense of empowerment, acceptance, and strength to those who are seeking it. Therapy is a safe space where expression of emotion is welcome and encouraged. The goal is to provide a higher sense of comfort within oneself and develop skills that are beneficial for the individual.

    She prefers to take on more of a humanistic approach and has experience with CBT, Person-Centered therapy, mindfulness, and short-term therapeutic interventions. Kristina has an interest in spirituality, racial/ethnic concerns, grief, self-esteem, sexual intimacy and health, and trauma. Kristina is an advocate for instilling positivity and shedding light onto others, inspiring them, and guiding them to their highest potential.

Samantha Jagmohan

  • Samantha (she/her) is currently a master’s student at City College of New York in the licensed Mental Health Counseling Program. She received her BA from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Forensic Psychology with a minor in Counseling. It has always been the goal to work in a helping profession as therapy can elicit pathways to healthier ways of living and being one’s own self.

    Samantha is extremely passionate about working with children, families, and couples as her vast work experiences involved such. Samantha has a background in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD on emotional regulation, behavioral changes, and communication skills. Also, as Samantha comes from an immigrant background herself, working with communities that struggle to deal with transitions that stem from immigration is important to her.

    Samantha incorporates Family Systems and Adlerian therapy modalities when working with children, adolescents, and families that help foster understanding and communication of members in a unit. She also finds it helpful to incorporate an integrative approach that meshes the techniques of Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, and CBT as their different ways of interpretation offer a multitude of perspectives that can help adapt to the plethora of client needs.

Faria Hoque

  • Faria Hoque is currently a Master’s student at The City College of New York in the Mental Health Counseling program. She has experience working with adults facing a wide range of challenges like depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, trauma, and personality disorders. Faria believes that therapy has to be a collaborative journey towards healing and self-discovery. Every individual possesses the strength and resilience they need to navigate through life’s challenges. Faria’s goal is to provide an empathetic and supportive environment where you can find clarity, gain insight, strengthen resilience, and develop skills needed to creating positive, lasting changes. She is passionate about working with adolescents, adults, families, couples, and BIPOC individuals.

    Faria practices an integrative approach to therapy, which allows her to draw from a range of modalities like psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and humanistic therapy to tailor your sessions to your unique needs. For individuals with complex and co-occurring issues, this method grants for a multifaceted treatment strategy to address the various nuance layers of their experiences. By combining these approaches, Faria is able to provide a holistic and effective path towards personal development. Faria currently offers In-person, Virtual, and seasonal walk-and-talk therapy.
